First State Bank Courtesy Pay and Courtesy Pay Plus

Welcome to Courtesy Pay and Courtesy Pay Plus

At First State Bank of Burnet, we understand that life can be unpredictable. To help you manage those moments when funds may run short, we are excited to introduce our new discretionary overdraft services: Courtesy Pay and Courtesy Pay Plus.

What is Courtesy Pay?

Courtesy Pay is an automatic feature of your checking account. When a non-sufficient fund (NSF) item is presented against your account, such as checks, in-person withdrawals, or electronic transactions (ACH, online bill pay, recurring debit card payments), we will strive to honor and pay the item. This helps you avoid the embarrassment and hassle of returned items and potential return item fees charged by merchants.

What is Courtesy Pay Plus?

Courtesy Pay Plus extends the benefits of Courtesy Pay to your debit card transactions. This service covers ATM and one-time debit card transactions, but due to federal regulations, you need to opt-in.

How to Enroll in Courtesy Pay Plus:

  1. Click the Enroll Now button below.
  2. Submit Name and Email and proceed to "Begin Signing" in DocuSign
  3. Review and Sign Documents

The bank is under no obligation to pay items when your account has non-sufficient funds, even if previous NSF transactions were paid. However, we will strive to pay your overdrafts whenever possible.
We do not encourage customers to overdraw their accounts regularly. Abuse of Courtesy Pay and Courtesy Pay Plus may result in removal from the service.
